CARE LABELS

Care labels provide information to consumers and cleaning professionals about the recommended cleaning procedures to be used for your combination of garment composition and construction. Following the instructions on these labels provides assurance that the appearance and fit of the garment will be maintained after repeated cleaning treatments.

In most countries, care labels are a mandatory inclusion for garments and many other textile products. The labels must be attached to products before they are offered for sale and, if the product is made up of several pieces, each piece is required to display a label.

Typically, these labels will display the fibre composition of the fabric as well as the washing instructions/symbols as mandatory requirements. Other additions such as country of origin, style number, garment sizing and ‘To Fit’ measurements can also be considered.
